J.P. Wieske is Executive Director of the Health Benefits Institute. J.P. has served as Wisconsin's Deputy Commissioner where he supervised the regulatory, legislative, public information and administrative functions. J.P. has also served in numerous leadership positions at the NAIC, including as Chair of the Regulatory Framework Task Force. Prior to working for the state, J.P. served as the Director of State Affairs and later as the Executive Director of the Council for Affordable Health Insurance (CAHI). CAHI was a research and advocacy organization focused on the individual, senior, and excepted benefit markets.

Jack Friou

Jack Friou is the founder and President of Tangent Point Solutions, a consulting organization specializing in representing business interests that intersect with state government. The firm was formed following Jack’s 40-year career with a Fortune 200 insurance company where he served as a senior executive with responsibilities for state government affairs in all 50 states. Jack has extensive experience working with state legislatures, regulators and executive branch officers, dealing with both challenges and opportunities. Jack has also done extensive work with the NAIC, NCIOL, NGA as well as several national and state trade associations.
